Josh Describes Lindsey

This photo was taken by one of Lindsey's dearest friends, Kim. Lindsey, Kim and another dear friend Leisha all own a little jewelry business together that promotes openness in adoption.

If someone asked me to use just one word to describe Lindsey, I would have to fight them to get at least two. She is just too awesome to pin down to one word. Passion and creativity describe what Lindsey is all about. In all she is involved in, these two attributes define how she accomplishes things. She cares deeply about what she does and puts all her efforts into it. She also cares about people that she loves. She goes above and beyond to make sure that her loved ones are taken care of and are happy. The children that she will raise will never want for love and attention. A great example of her passion and creativity is show in the way that she teaches. Whether it's teaching third graders or Relief Society members, I constantly hear remarks of the power and joy that she brings to the classroom. Knowing her deep desire to raise children, I know that she is saving her most passionate and creative plans for them.

Lindsey Describes Josh

Josh playing in the 2007 Brigham Young University Legends Game in LaVell Edwards Stadium.
I am absolutely crazy in love with Josh. He is so easy to talk to and connect with. A natural athlete and chef, he is one of those people who are just good at everything he does. He can fix any problem and put anything together. My Josh is a rock. He has been my very best friend since we were freshman in college. It has been fun to watch him grow in his spirituality and priesthood from missionary to husband and now to fatherhood. Your baby would be so blessed to have Josh. With that baby-face he is so easy to love! He is gentle, kind, wise and snuggly--a regular teddy bear. He is service oriented in every aspect of his life--especially as a husband and daddy. His number one goal is to provide, protect and keep his family happy. I am so glad that I have him on this adventure of adoption. He is my biggest cheerleader and the star of my life.

Tyson

My name is Tyson.

I am 4 years old.

I am a chatter box. I love to sing, read books, play Lego Star Wars video games, ride my bike, play football, lacrosse and basketball, invite all the neighborhood kids over to play, paint and play with my beloved trains.

As the oldest, I promise to take good care of all my little siblings. I will try to be a good example and teach them how to be happy, how to choose the right and to love others.

Gavin

My name is Gavin.

I am 3 years old.

I am a lover. I love to snuggle, lay my head on your shoulder, sing, play trains and I still like to be rocked to sleep. (My mom loves this about me!) I love to color, drink apple juice, play with animals, laugh and pretend to be Luke Skywalker.

I look forward to the day when I can be called the "Big Brother" and promise to always love and kiss on my little brother or sister.

Playing basketball together.

This is a video that Josh made of the boys. He fully admits that he got a little carried away which Lindsey thinks makes it even cuter!

Lindsey Describes Herself

I am a creative person. I can often be found with a camera hanging around my neck or making something. I love mini scrapbooking and creating new layouts. I guess that comes from being a yearbook editor in high school. I am also into running--I am racking up the miles for the fourth half marathon in the near future. I love to ski, eat Josh's cookin', decorate my home, take pictures of Tyson and Gavin, advocate adoption, read and sing in the shower.

Josh Describes Himself

I guess you could say that I am a sports nut. I especially love football, having played in high school and in a semi-professional league for four years. I also like to watch and play basketball and lacrosse. I am fascinated by people and really enjoy history. I have grown to love to cook, especially on my wood-pellet grill.

Lindsey's Family

This was taken at my brother's wedding reception.
It's one of my favorite photos of our whole family. Such a happy day!

I am the oldest of 4 kids and the only girl. Next to Josh, my parents are my closest and dearest friends and I can't imagine any other group of boys more fun than my brothers. When we are all together ...look out! We are a close-knit bunch and search out opportunities to laugh together, serve one another and be around each other.

Josh's Family

Having moved around a lot in my childhood, my family was one of the few constants in my life. I am the oldest of six children and we've become even closer in the last few years. We still spend holidays together and enjoy going on vacations every year.

These are my parents. They are great people! My parents have always been very supportive in anything that I did and are still a big part of my life. In this photo they took me to one of my favorite restaurants for my birthday, Rutherford Grill in Napa Valley, California.

The Grandkids in Josh's Family. There are also baby twin boys and a little girl due in Spring of 2012 that we just don't have a group picture with yet. Coming soon, we hope!
